WELL. After almost an entire year of procrastinating, here I am! Opening up this blog! I meant to open this at the start of the year which then turned into the spring. Then it became the summer. Now, after learning some slightly unsettling things about Bluesky and their leadership, I figured I would just open the site up even though I’m still not 100% sure what I really wanted to do with. For now, this place will just serve as a little space for me on the internet to write and talk about things. So, here we go?

I spent the majority of my time gaming this past weekend. I actually ended up finishing my first playthrough of Silent Hill f which I absolutely loved! As a female, I could relate to a lot of the themes that were presented in the story, and could also relate to the protagonist, Hinako, though we come from different backgrounds.

I also thought the game was just… tragically beautiful. Here are some non-spoilery screenshots I took of my playthrough:

I’m looking forward to learning more of the story through getting the other endings for the game. Once I am completely finished, I will post more thoughts about the game.

I also played some survivor matches in Dead by Daylight. I really wanted the new Yui cosmetic:

The collaboration is with the Japanese anime, Nyaight of the Living Cat. I honestly don’t know too much about it. I will say though that Yui’s cosmetic is really nice and it’s probably going to be one of my top played cosmetics for her now. She already has some of my favorite cosmetics in the game. I’d love to also get her to prestige 100 rank. I already have 3 at prestige 100: Feng Min, Sable Ward, and Jill Valentine. I’ll be adding Mikaela Reid and Cheryl Mason shortly as I have been working on leveling them up. Yui and the new survivor, Vee, will be joining. And maybe Lara Croft as well!

Despite all the ongoing issues with the game, it will always be one of my most cherished and favorite games of all time <3.

I also watched the new V/H/S Halloween film on Shudder. I actually quite enjoyed it. I don’t go into these movies expecting a whole lot. There was talk of an AI generated image in the first short which bums me out if it’s true. Otherwise, I thought this collection was pretty solid. I don’t think it’s my favorite one, though. I really liked how crazy Beyond got. That one definitely went places…

I did start *attempting* to watch the new Monster series about Ed Gein. Ryan Murphy definitely Ryan Murphy’d. If you know, you know. Keep this man away from true crime, please.

Hmm, I think that’s really all for now. Tonight I’m going to play either Bad Cheese or Dead Reset so I don’t get burnt out by Silent Hill f. I also have a bunch of Korean homework to do that I have been putting off, yay.
